I have bet on countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have bet on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at 21. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that 21 appears to be a match of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very exciting sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a number of weeks ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can say good-bye to a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the streaks you witness betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Bet $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar wager

Bet five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 wager

Bet 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager

Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar

Bet $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the first $80 bet

Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial one hundred and sixty dollar wager

If you left at this instance you would be up $315 !!

It is hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.

Playing 21 — to Win

[ English ]

If you like the fulfillment and adventure of a perfect card game and the elation of winning and earning some cash with the odds in your favour, playing chemin de fer is for you.

So, how can you defeat the casino?

Quite simply when playing vingt-et-un you are watching the risks and chances of the cards in regard to:

1. What your hand is

2. What cards possibly could come from the shoe

When betting on twenty-one there is mathematically a best way to play each hand and this is referred to as basic strategy. If you add card counting that helps you compute the odds of cards being dealt from the deck, then you can increase your wager size when the odds are in your favor and lower them when the edge is not.

You’re only going to win under half the hands you gamble on, so it is important that you adjust bet size when the odds are in your favor.

To do this when wagering on twenty-one you have to use basic strategy and card counting to win.

Basic strategy and counting cards

Since mathematicians and scientists have been investigating chemin de fer all sorts of abstract systems have been developed, including but not limited to "counting cards" but even though the theory is complex card counting is actually very easy when you bet on 21.

If when wagering on twenty-one you card count effectively (even if the game uses more than one deck), you can tilt the edge to your favor.

21 Basic Strategy

Blackjack basic strategy is centralized around an unsophisticated plan of how you bet based upon the cards you are dealt and is statistically the strongest hand to use while not counting cards. It informs you when gambling on 21 when you should take another card or stand.

It is extremely simple to do and is quickly committed to memory and until then you can find free guides on the net

Using it when you play chemin de fer will bring down the casino’s expectations to near to even.

Counting cards getting the odds in your favour

Card counting works and gamblers use a card counting system obtain an advantage over the casino.

The reason this is easy.

Low cards favour the dealer in 21 and high cards favor the player.

Low cards favor the casino because they aid him make winning totals on her hands when she is stiff (has a twelve, 13, fourteen, fifteen, or sixteen total on her initial two cards).

In casino twenty-one, you can stand on your stiffs if you want to, but the casino can’t.

She has no choice to make, but you do and this is your advantage. The rules of betting on vingt-et-un require that croupiers hit stiffs no matter how flush the deck is in high cards that will bust them.

The high cards favor the gambler because they could bust the house when she hits his stiffs and also blackjacks are made with aces and tens.

Although blackjacks are, evenly allocated between the casino and the player, the fact is that the player gets paid more (3:2) when she receives a blackjack so the gambler has an edge.

You do not have to count the numbers of each of the individual card to know when you have an edge over the casino.

You only need to know at what point the shoe is flush or poor in high cards and you can up your action when the edge is in your favor.

This is a basic commentary of how card-counting schemes work, but gives you an insight into why the logic works.

When wagering on blackjack over the longer term card counting will help in altering the expectation in your favor by approximately 2 percent.
