I have played countless of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of funds at 21. The gambling dens have made it nearly impossible to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have played a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is centered on the fact that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I bet with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I do not win again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original bet.

I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 30 mins using this method! And a couple of days ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the runs you see betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 table.

Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager

Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10

Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of $20

Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $20 bet

Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar

Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet

Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Wager eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager

Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet

If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!

It’s difficult to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
